Robert Misner has a extreme point in the fact that the prosecutor has been very centralized in the courtroom as far as demeanor and behavior. This is seen in their actions in"having control over life, liberty,and reputation" says Justice Robert Jackson. They also have access to many resources and they seem to enjoy unlimited use of discretion. I also believe that the state attorney general should supervise local elected atrtorneys, but to a degree. This would ensure that proper procedures were followed and that due process was enforced. In the matter of the assissant district attorneys and the authority to be given to them, it should be understood that many of them are straight out of law school and do not have the experience and that there is a vast turnover rate in this area. They also do not have experince in the day-to-day courtroom activities and decisions which are vital. Thus, they should have a much limited authority and closely supervised until they are seasoned. I have come to view my local prosecutor as a policy reformer who encourages more assertiveness from their assistants and also,with the fact that they have been in office for quite a while,they have been involved in crime prevention which I believe is necessary.

No, I don’t think assistant district attorney should be giving a large amount of discretion to dispose of cases according to their best judgment because and assistant attorney don’t have as much as experience as other in the field. Most of the assistant district attorneys are hired immediately after graduation from law school. In order for them to make their own decision, I believe they should have experience. I think it’s a good idea to listen to their opinion but they should communicate with other people that work in the office but I think they should be always somebody watching and teaching them to let them know what’s good or wrong. Till they have the experience and the idea of how the justice system works.
